Bluetooth Automatically Turns On iPhone.

A Bluetooth is a very useful wireless technology that enables users to connect two devices over a short distance. The main purpose is to transfer files from one device to another or listen music etc. Users can also connect their Bluetooth headset, a head phone with a blue tooth and use it as a hands free facility. It is not very complicated feature for newbies but sometimes they face some issues regarding the Bluetooth, especially when it automatically connects itself even if you have turned off bluetooth option.

iPhone automatically turn on the bluetooth every time you restart your iphone and this becomes quite annoying after sometime so whenever you restart your iphone, please ensure that bluetooth is turned off else whenever you will try to connect it with any other device, it will always search for other devices.

The main reason behind the iPhone automatically turn on the bluetooth is that Apple has incorporated this feature in iOS which can be very useful at times but sometimes becomes irritating too. If your iphone have jailbroken then you are lucky enough because there are many tweaks available to solve this problem.

The Feature Is Incorporated In The System And Cannot Be Turned Off Completely :-

As I said before, Apple has incorporated this feature in the system and it cannot be turned off . It can only be disabled to a certain extent. You can disable Bluetooth by going into settings and then into bluetooth but you will not be able to completely turn it off as this is an iOS default functionality.

Fix The Problem By Deleting Some Files:

If your iphone bluetooth is automatically turning on every time you restart your device then there might be something wrong with your phone or there are some issue with the jailbroken app which installed earlier on.

If your iPhone show the message like “turning on Bluetooth” when you start up your phone and if “Turning Off Bluetooth” message is always turning on then that means there is some corrupted files or corrupt app which is creating the problem. To resolve this issue you have to delete couple of files and your problem will be fixed.

Delete The Following Files:  /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.MobileBluetooth.plist  /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mobilenetwork.plist  You have to move these files in Trash and after moving them, turn off Bluetooth from settings > bluetooth and restart your device again . Now check if the problem has been resolved or not . You can also restore these files from a backup but for this you need to have a jailbroken device. If you are not having a jailbroken device then delete these files using iFile or ifile

Fix The Problem By Deleting Or Changing An Entry In The “hosts” File:

If the above method does not work for you, you can try this one too. You have to first open your file manager and go to root directory of your phone which is / . Then navigate to var/mobile/Library folder and then look for hosts file which will be in this location var > mobile > Library > hosts . Just open it with text edit app.

This file will give certain IP address to all other devices that are connected to internet through wifi or 3g etc. Now what happens when your iPhone goes into bluetooth mode is that it looks for other devices. So the moment you activate the bluetooth, your phone will try to look for other devices so what you need to do now is just delete or comment out  the specific IP address entries which are related to Bluetooth.

If there are any wrong codes then also this method can resolve your problem because it will stop looking for ip’s related to bluetooth and thus automatically turn off .

Fix The Problem By Deactivating iPhone Auto-lock Feature:

If the above methods don’t work then one more option left with you is deactivate auto lock feature of your iPhone by going into settings > general > accessibility > auto lock and set it at never time instead of 2 mins , 30 secs etc.

Trying To Turnoff Bluetooth From Control Centre:

If you are getting annoyed by turning on bluetooth from control centre or notification then you can also turn it off from there. Just swipe down the control center and press the icon to turn off Bluetooth.

All these methods will help you in keeping your iPhone Bluetooth turned off . But if still you cannot disable this feature using any of above methods, then don’t worry because Apple has given a solution for this problem too which is creating a restriction passcode for your device under general > restrictions menu.

After disabling automatic connection with other devices, just add a 4 digit passcode and keep it safe. In case someone tries to connect his/her device with yours via bluetooth then they won’t be able to do so unless they know your passcode.

Switching It Off From Settings:

If still your problem is not yet fixed then you need to go to settings and turning it off for good. Just go into settings > general > bluetooth and turn it off from there. After this, your device should automatically turn off the bluetooth if you are not manually turning on by mistake.

All these methods will surely help you in fixing the issue which actually arises due to some jailbroken apps or other sources .

Press And Hold The Sleep Button At The Top Of The iPhone:

Another way to quickly turn off your iPhone is to press and hold the button at the top of your phone. Keep holding it until you see “slide to power off” option on screen . Now just swipe it and your device will be turned off immediately . You can then switch on your device again by pressing sleep/wake button that’s present on the upper edge of the phone.

This method is very effective because if someone wants to access any information of yours like contacts, messages etc , they won’t even get a chance because this method will only allow you to make calls or listen music for which you have activated playlist or radio respectively.

Note:- These were some of the ways through which you can disable bluetooth function in order to never turn it on automatically. If you still have any trouble then don’t hesitate to leave us a comment. We will be more than happy to help you out .

Press And Hold The Sleep Button To Power On The iPhone:

If you want to power on your iPhone then instead of holding the sleep/wake button, press and hold the home button until you see Apple logo. Now release it and wait for some time as it might take little longer than usual because your device will be turned off completely before powering up after applying this method.

The first step is just open your phone app , then turn on the airplane mode . After that go into settings > general > about and tap on “software update” repeatedly until you get an update notification message in dialog box. Then install the update and restart your device so that changes could come into effect .

Another way is by going into Settings> General> About  and tapping  Software Update    repeatedly until you get an update notification message in dialog box. Then install the update and restart your device so that changes could come into effect .

Press And Hold The “Home” Button To Lock Your Phone:

For many users, it is very annoying whenever they accidentally switch on bluetooth when trying to lock their phone immediately after using it. This happens mostly if any application has been opened recently which requires access to bluetooth or wifi etc. So guys below are some of the tricks through which you can make this problem solve forever.

Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen to open Control Center and tap on Airplane Mode button .After a couple of seconds , a popup will appear asking for password , enter the password and hit on “Ok” button .

Need To Clear The Cache

Cache may have been corrupted which is causing all these problems. You can delete this temporary data by going to Settings> General> Storage & iCloud Usage> Manage Storage. Now select the app for which you are facing this problem and tap on it . It will show you the total cache saved by that app, now just tap on “Clear All” button at top right corner.

As shown in above image , Just open your Phone App > Tap On Three Dots At Top Right Corner >Tap On AirPlane Mode Button To Enable It. This method will surely work for you!

Bluetooth Pairing Mode Is On And You Can’t Turn It Off:

When bluetooth is enabled on your phone , it stays in pairing mode for sometimes which makes it impossible to turn off . Which makes your Bluetooth vulnerable to attack through which someone can easily access your contacts , messages etc.

Delete All Your Paired Bluetooth Devices:

In iphone 6, go to Settings > General > Bluetooth and tap on the info button next to your device. Tap Forget This Device . Repeat this step for all paired devices that are currently in the list of Bluetooth devices.

Go to Settings> General> About  and you’ll find an option called “Bluetooth” , just turn it off by tapping it . By doing so , it will turn off bluetooth device completely , but still your iPhone’s Bluetooth is not paired with any other devices.
